The ballots have been counted and the results are in for the CARS Tour “Best Appearing Throwback” fan vote on FloRacing after a record-setting number of votes were cast during this year’s contest.

More than 24 hours later than planned, the richest night in pavement late model history was held Sunday night with the completion of the CARS Tour Throwback Classic at Hickory Motor Speedway. The event, which featured a $50,000-to-win Late Model Stock Car race and a $30,000-to-win Pro Late Model race, was originally scheduled for Saturday before being postponed due to rain.

Qualifying for the CARS Tour Throwback Classic presented by FloRacing at Hickory Motor Speedway is in the books, and what an interesting qualifying session it was. Starting on the pole position for the $50,000 Late Model Stock Car race is 14-year-old Tristan McKee, while Spencer Davis claimed the top starting position for the $30,000 Pro Late Model feature.
