CARS Tour Best Appearing Throwback Results Announced
Landon Huffman is the winner of the 2025 CARS Tour Best Appearing Throwback fan vote for the Throwback Classic at Hickory Motor Speedway.

The ballots have been counted and the results are in for the CARS Tour “Best Appearing Throwback” fan vote on FloRacing after a record-setting number of votes were cast during this year’s contest.
So without further delay, let’s get to the results.
Finishing in third-place in the voting and sixth-place in Sunday’s 100-lap Pro Late Model feature is Seth Christensen. The Georgia native ran a tribute to the late Alan Kulwicki’s 1992 NASCAR Cup Series championship-winning Hooters No. 7 “Underbird” scheme. Christensen and his JC Motorsports team will receive a full decal package from The Decal Source for finishing in third-place in the voting.
This year’s runner-up finisher is “Air Doug,” Doug Barnes Jr and his Lee Pulliam Performance team. Barnes came home fifth in Sunday night’s 125-lap battle for the Late Model Stock Cars at Hickory Motor Speedway. Barnes and LPP brought a bright red No. 3 in tribute to Dale Earnhardt Sr. 's Looney Tunes/Tasmanian Devil scheme that “The Intimidator” once piloted in 2000. Barnes and LPP will receive a free car wrap from The Decal Source for finishing in second-place in the voting.
That leaves us to our winner, who is receiving the top honors in the Best Appearing Throwback contest for the second year in a row. That driver is none other than “Boat Daddy” himself, Landon Huffman. Huffman piloted a throwback to his father’s “Pink Cadillac” No. 39 from the 1990s to a fourth-place finish in Sunday’s Throwback Classic.
Huffman and his Carroll Speedshop team will receive a $1,000 top prize from TexaCon Cut Stone, a $500 prize from FloRacing, as well as a full Next Gen body kit courtesy of Five Star Race Car Bodies.
In total, more than 10,000 votes were cast throughout the weekend on FloRacing, which set a new record for the contest.
The CARS Tour is off for two weeks before returning to action on Saturday, August 16 at South Carolina's Anderson Motor Speedway when Dale Earnhardt Jr. brings the 2001 Budweiser "baseball car" back to life. Fans can watch the race live on FloRacing by subscribing today.
