More than 24 hours later than planned, the richest night in pavement late model history was held Sunday night with the completion of the CARS Tour Throwback Classic at Hickory Motor Speedway. The event, which featured a $50,000-to-win Late Model Stock Car race and a $30,000-to-win Pro Late Model race, was originally scheduled for Saturday before being postponed due to rain. 

When the rain finally ended on Sunday evening, it was Mini Tyrrell pocketing the $50,000 check in the Late Model Stock Car feature and Spencer Davis claiming the $30,000 Pro Late Model win. 

The night began with the completion of the 100-lap Pro Late Model race, which was red flagged with 56 laps remaining on Saturday night. In the end, the race ended up being well worth the wait as Davis and Luke Baldwin thrilled the crowd with an exciting battle for the win over the final seven laps. Davis and Baldwin made contact multiple times throughout the final two laps before Davis emerged victorious by a narrow margin at the checkered flag. 

Later in the evening, the Late Model Stock Cars were not to be outdone. A major crash involving race-long leader Tristan McKee, CARS Tour points leader Landen Lewis and others reset the field for a shootout with 10 laps remaining. After Kaden Honeycutt was penalized by CARS Tour officials for jumping the restart prior to the multi-car crash, Tyrrell took command of the top spot. 

Tyrrell survived a pair of late-race restarts with challenges from Conner Jones and Jared Fryar to collect the richest win of his career.
