Dale Earnhardt Jr. will make his final Late Model Stock Car start for the 2025 season on Saturday night with the zMAX CARS Tour at North Carolina’s Tri-County Motor Speedway. Earnhardt’s start at Tri-County marks a bit of a departure from his comfort zone in regard to the type of track he’s raced since returning to Late Model racing in 2022.

Only two race weekends remain before champions in the zMAX CARS Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model Tour are crowned.

The CARS Tour made its highly anticipated return to Anderson Motor Speedway on Saturday night, drawing a capacity crowd and delivering a pair of entertaining Late Model races. Luke Baldwin (Pro Late Models) and Landen Lewis (Late Model Stock Cars) ended the night celebrating victories in victory lane at the South Carolina oval.

The CARS Tour is headed south on I-85 to Anderson Motor Speedway in South Carolina for the first time since 2017, and joining them is NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the return of the famous “baseball car” that won at Daytona International Speedway in the summer of 2001. The CARS Tour is headed to the Peach State for the first time in its history this weekend, with two deep fields of talent, a NASCAR Hall of Famer in competition with the Late Model Stock Cars, and a second-generation driver making his CARS Tour debut with the Pro Late Models. In total, 60 cars are making the inaugural trip to Cordele Motor Speedway this weekend.
