Why Is This Race At Anderson Motor Speedway Important?
Saturday’s CARS Tour doubleheader at Anderson Motor Speedway is significant and important for a few reasons. The first is that Dale Earnhardt Jr., in a partnership with Budweiser and Major League Baseball, is driving the legendary scheme that he drove to victory lane at Daytona in July of 2001 in his first race back at Daytona following the passing of Dale Earnhardt. Earnhardt Jr. unveiled the car and his plans to race this car again in front of thousands of fans at JR Motorsports Fan Day back in May.
On top of that, Saturday’s race is the first time that the CARS Tour is racing at Anderson Motor Speedway since 2017, and just the second time in the history of the Tour. Meanwhile, the points battles for the Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model divisions continue to get tighter as the Tour heads into its final few races.
