Dale Earnhardt Jr. Headlines Entry Lists For CARS Tour At Anderson
Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the return of the Budweiser "Baseball Car" headlines the CARS Tour entry lists for Anderson Motor Speedway.

The CARS Tour returns to action this weekend at South Carolina’s Anderson Motor Speedway on Saturday night for a Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model doubleheader, and joining the regular cast of characters is NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr for the second time this season.
Earnhardt Jr. is back in action with the CARS Tour for the first time since April when he finished 21st after getting caught up in a late-race crash on a restart. Earnhardt Jr. will be piloting a special throwback scheme to his 2001 Pepsi 400 Budweiser No. 8 “baseball” car. The car, which was unveiled before thousands of adoring fans at JR Motorsports Fan Day back in May, looks exactly like the car he drove to victory lane in his return to Daytona International Speedway following the tragic passing of his father in the Daytona 500 earlier that season.
While nearly every eye on property will be locked on Earnhardt’s famous No. 8 car, the others will be locked on the tightening battle atop the Late Model Stock Car division points standings.
Earnhardt Jr.’s full-time JRM driver, Connor Hall, still leads the points with just five races remaining on the 2025 calendar. A survival effort at Hickory last race saw Hall’s lead grow to 12 points over Landen Lewis. Even though he grew his lead at Hickory, Hall has struggled a bit as of late and he’s looking to right the ship at a track that he’ll be racing on for the first time in his CARS Tour career on Saturday night.
In fact, most of the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car field will be racing at Anderson Motor Speedway for the first time in CARS Tour competition on Saturday. Saturday’s race will mark the second time that the CARS Tour has raced at Anderson, and the first time since 2017. Only two drivers in this weekend’s field were in that race in 2017, and they were Jared Fryar and Landon Huffman. Fryar finished fifth, while Huffman finished 13th. The race was won by current NASCAR Cup Series driver Josh Berry over his fellow current Cup Series driver, Ty Gibbs.
While Hall grew his lead over Lewis to 12, it was third on back that tightened up. With his sixth-place finish, Kade Brown gained eight points on Hall to close in from 22 points back to 14 points out, and just two points back of Lewis who crashed late and finished 20th.
Mini Tyrrell scored the biggest win of his career at Hickory last race, and while he was rightly focused on the $50,000 check he’d be cashing, he also gained a lot of points. Tyrrell entered Hickory fifth in the standings, 44 points back. With his win, and the bonus point for leading a lap, Tyrrell now heads to Anderson in fourth in the standings, 27 points back of Hall, for a gain of 17 points.
Landon Huffman also made a gain of 10 points on Hall to put himself and his Carroll Speedshop team back into the conversation with five races remaining after finishing fourth in the Throwback Classic at Hickory. Not only has Huffman run a CARS Tour race at Anderson before, but he also raced at Anderson in a Modified with the SMART Modified Tour earlier this year when he finished sixth.
The Pro Late Models will be back in action alongside the Late Model Stock Cars on Saturday night. Ben Maier enters Saturday’s race with a 12-point lead, but he’ll have to contend with drivers like Luke Baldwin, Jade Avedisian, Tristan McKee, Tyler Reif, Brandon Lopez, and Seth Christensen to score the victory.
The entire entry lists for both divisions can be found below.
