The inaugural Illinois Speedweek will kick off in style this week with a pair of Castrol FloRacing Night in America events setting the stage for an exciting week of racing in the Land of Lincoln. A large field of Dirt Late Models is expected for both Wednesday's race at Spoon River Speedway and Thursday's event at Lincoln Speedway.

With a huge championship purse on the line, a handful of Dirt Late Model racing's biggest stars have committed to running the entire 2022 Castrol FloRacing Night in America season. The popular miniseries, which primarily contests mid-week events, has increased the championship payout to $75,000 this year if a driver has perfect attendance.

Castrol FloRacing Night in America is preparing to bring the noise to the Land of Lincoln. The popular Dirt Late Model mini-series will be competing in an action-packed doubleheader at Spoon River Speedway and Lincoln Speedway to help kick off the inaugural Illinois Speedweek.

The Castrol® FloRacing Night in America miniseries has sweetened the pot for the 2022 championship, adding $45,000 to the champion's payout provided that driver competes in every series event.

Officials at Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, Illinois, have announced that discounted tickets as well as reserved camping spots, for Thursday, May 12, go on sale Friday, March 4 at 12:00 p.m. Central Time. The Castrol® FloRacing Night will be highlighted by a $22,022-to-win feature for Super Late Models. The DIRTcar Modifieds will also race.
