Four Reasons To Stream The Ultimate Dublin Race

We recently got Ultimate Series director Kelley Carlton on the phone to discuss this weekend’s Dublin Motor Speedway race, which will stream LIVE on FloRacing October 7. In addition to telling us the secret to the Ultimate Series success, he provided five compelling reasons why FloRacing subscribers should tune in on October 7.

A Tightly Contested Points Race Between Tyler Millwood and Jason Welshan

“Our points race is still not settled,” Carlton said. “It’s really probably going to come down to that last event at Screven. But these two events our super important to both of those guys that are at the top. Neither one of them have any experience at 311 and only the experience that they have this year at Dublin. So I think that certainly throws a wild card in. Whoever figures out the racing gets the upper hand at those two events will get the upper hand going into the final race.”

Jonathan Davenport’s Return To Ultimate

“Jonathan Davenport raced with us for most of the year and then he split with Barry and did his own thing and now he’s working with George,” Carlton continued. “He’s certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with all weekend. He’s always been really, really good at 311 speedway and PR cars have always been really good at Dublin I think the combination of those two definitely makes him tough. Makes him one of the guys that everyone expects to have to beat.”

Plenty Of Wild Cards

“We’re going to have some wild cards in there too,” Carlton said. “Kyle Hardy is coming down from Virginia to race both events. He’s actually announced that he’s going to be running for rookie of the year with us for next year. So he’s coming to get his feet wet with us at some of the race tracks that run at more regularly. He’s been pretty stout competition up there at in the mid-Atlantic region. He’s connected with us [earlier] this year. That’s certainly something that will be on everybody’s mind. Kyle is a good racer and he’s only been racing Supers for a couple of years now.”

Chris Ferguson Looks To Rebound At Dublin

“Chris Ferguson is also a perennial favorite at Dublin for sure,” Carlton said. “He’s had a little bit of struggle here as of late. Two DNF’s in a row in Lucas Oil races. So I know that he’ll be looking to bounce back and get back in the hunt try to pick up some wins. At both 311 and Dublin he’ll be one of the one of the favorites at those events.”
