ANDERSON, S.C. – Saturday’s Bennett Equipment & Supply 225 at Anderson Motor Speedway featured a whirlwind of emotions for Carson Loftin.

A two-race swing in the state of South Carolina for the zMAX CARS Tour begins this weekend at Anderson Motor Speedway with the Double Aught Double Purse Challenge, which offers a $15,000 race-winning prize for Late Model Stocks and $8,000-to-win for Pro Late Models.

The ballots have been counted and the results are in for the CARS Tour “Best Appearing Throwback” fan vote on FloRacing.

Matt Gould and TJ DeCaire survived wild features for the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Cars and CARS Tour Pro Late Models to each take home the trophies from a wild Throwback Classic doubleheader at Hickory Motor Speedway. The unofficial results from both features can be found below.

The Spears CARS Tour West Super Late Models will celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary with the Freedom 250 at Tri-City Raceway, a 150-lap battle under the lights featuring the West Coast's top SLM drivers. The event marks the SLMs' inaugural race at the half-mile tri-oval in West Richland, Washington, and the fifth race of the division's seven-race season. Live coverage of the Freedom 250 at Tri-City Raceway will stream on FloRacing beginning at 6:15 p.m. PT (9:15 p.m. ET) on Saturday, July 4.

The Spears CARS Tour Northwest division journeys into Idaho with its Pro Late Models for Saturday's Road to the Idaho 200 at Stateline Speedway, marking its first of two visits to the quarter-mile oval in Post Falls, Idaho. The Road to the Idaho 200's preliminary entry list already features a substantial 37-car field, making it the largest entry list to date for a Northwest event. The second consecutive stop for the zMAX CARS Tour in the Commonwealth of Virginia will see the Late Model Stock division head to Dominion Raceway in Thornburg.

Nelson Motorsports and driver Carson Loftin have mutually agreed to part ways effective immediately, both parties said in an announcement Tuesday evening. Loftin was in his second season as driver of the No. 22 Toyota Late Model Stock Car for Nelson Motorsports.

The 2026 CARS Tour season continued on Saturday night with the Visit Hampton Virginia 125 for Late Model Stock Cars at Langley Speedway. In his first CARS Tour start of the year, home track star Connor Hall collected his eighth career CARS Tour victory.
