For the 54th time, Modifieds will take to the track at Stafford Motor Speedway in late April for the “Greatest Race in the History of Spring,” the 54th Spring Sizzler. Nearly 30 drivers have entered for a chance to wear the winner’s wreath at the end of Sunday’s 100-lap showdown.
The entry list is headlined by the winners of the previous three Spring Sizzlers, Stephen Kopcik and Ron Silk.
Kopcik, of Newtown, Connecticut, is the defending winner of the Spring Sizzler and has been on fire of late. Kopcik has won each of the last two NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races at Martinsville Speedway and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
Silk has been equally as hot recently. Silk, who won the Sizzler in back-to-back years in 2025 and 2024, won the King of the Modifieds at South Boston Speedway, then finished second at Martinsville and Thompson to Kopcik.
Sunday’s 54th Spring Sizzler is expected to go green at 4:30 p.m. ET live on FloRacing.
