    STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT -- As part of First Responder Friday on September 10, Stafford Speedway will host the 4th Annual TC 13 Shoot Out in memory of Ted Christopher.  Thanks to contributions from Jason and Tabitha Manafort, Greg and Venetta Narducci of The Florida Connection, Big Haus USA, Gaston Racing Enterprises, LifeCare Family Chiropractic with Dr. Sean Noel, M & T Heavy Equipment, New England Racing Fuel, NorthEast Race Cars and Speed, the Tri-Track Modified Series, Wild Thing Karts, and WINY 1350am Radio, the purse for the TC 13 Shoot Out has grown to over $6,200 with the race winner guaranteed to take home $1,313.  Stafford Speedway is still accepting contributions to the TC 13 Shoot Out purse, which could lead to even more money on the line.  With a purse of nearly $9,000 for the regular 40-lap SK Modified® feature event, over $15,000 will be up for grabs for SK Modified® drivers this Friday night.

    Stafford Springs, CT -- Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for their fourth and final visit of the 2021 season on Friday, August 20 for the Lincoln Tech Open 80. NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece charged his way through the field over the final 31 laps after coming out of the pits during a caution period outside the top-10 to win the Lincoln Tech Open Modified 80.

    Stafford Springs, CT -- No driver comes into the Lincoln Tech Open 80, set for this Friday, August 20 at Stafford Speedway, hotter than Chase Dowling. Dowling and the No. 9 S&S Asphalt Paving team owned by Ben Dodge made their first start together at the end of the 2020 season and won the Tri-Track Open Modified Series event at Stafford.  They followed that up by winning the Twisted Tea 80 in June and the Bud Light 80 in July at Stafford and they might have won the CBYD 81 in May if not for a mechanical issue that took Dowling out of the race while leading.

    STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT --- Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for the third of four visits during the 2021 season on Friday, July 30 for the Bud Light Open 80.  Chase Dowling took the lead from Ryan Preece on lap 53 and drove away from the field to win the Bud Light 80 and take home contingency bonuses of $1,000 from GAF Roofing, $500 from New England Racing Fuel, and $500 from Rayner Real Estate to push his winner’s check up to $5,500.

    Stafford Speedway hosted the biggest and richest SK Modified® race of the 2021 season on Friday, June 25 with the 8th Annual NAPA Auto Parts SK 5k.  Michael Christopher, Jr., who won $5,000 only 2 weeks ago in the TickMike.com All-Star Shoot Out, took the checkered flag to take home a total of $5,725 in purse and contingency money.  Christopher won $5,000 from the race purse, $450 from contingency partners Maybury Material Handling, North East Race Cars, and TickMike.com, a $25 gas certificate from New England Racing Fuel, Sunoco Brand, and a $250 bonus from Wheelers Auto for winning his heat race.  Other feature wins on the night were scored by Andrew Molleur, who was a first time winner in Late Model competition at Stafford, Tyler Chapman in the SK Light feature, Rich Hammann was a photo finish winner in a duel with Alexandra Fearn in the Limited Late Model feature, and Nickolas Hovey was a first time winner in the Street Stock feature.

    For any racer, there is no feeling quite like reaching victory lane for the very first time.  That first time winning feeling can almost be matched by recording a podium finish for the very first time and Stafford Speedway’s June 18 SK Modified® feature event featured three drivers who were all on the podium for the very first time.  Bryan Narducci drove the #83 Keith Rocco owned All Phases Renovations sponsored car to victory, followed by Matt Vassar in the #11 Hummel Hot Dogs Chevrolet, and David Arute in the #75 Big Haus USA Chevrolet.

    (Stafford Springs, CT) When the Granite State Pro Stock Series shifts the 2021 season into gear at Stafford Speedway on April 24 as part of NAPA Opening Day, one of the favorites among the “outsiders” would be Derek Griffith.  The 24 year old Hudson, NH native and driver of the #12g Hudson Speedway Chevrolet has amassed an impressive resume in his young career, winning the 2020 and 2021 Super Late Model championships at New Smyrna Speedway, the GSPSS championship in 2015, and the PASS championship in 2018. Griffith is looking forward to his first time racing at Stafford and adding the Connecticut half-mile to the list of tracks that he has conquered.

    Stafford Springs, CT - After going winless during the 2019 SK Modified® season at Stafford, Michael Christopher, Jr. returned to NAPA Victory Lane in 2020 with a thrilling late season victory. Along with the win Christopher posted a total of six podium finishes in 14 races and nearly matched his career best of third in the final points standings by finishing fourth. With the first green flag of the 2021 season on the horizon, Christopher is ready to put his #82 Eastport Feeds / New England Turf Management Chevrolet back in NAPA Victory Lane.
