The 40th Chili Bowl Nationals presented by NOS Energy Drink continued Friday night with the fifth and final night of preliminary action. Two-time Chili Bowl winner Logan Seavey came out on top in a thrilling 30-lap main event to claim his fourth straight prelim night win.

Seavey claimed the lead for the final time with eight laps to go after a thrilling battle with Gavin Miller and Justin Grant. The three drivers traded blows while working through lapped traffic for much of the middle portion of the race. 

After Gavin Miller flipped viciously on the frontstretch with four laps to go, Grant out-dueled Daryn Pittman in the closing laps to finish second and lock in to Saturday's main event. 

Pittman, Wouf Hoffmans and Giovanni Scelzi completed the top-five. NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Jesse Love finished sixth before going for a wild flip after the checkered flag. 

With all five nights of prelim action in the books, the focus now shifts to Saturday's alphabet soup beginning at 10 a.m. CT.
