Clauson-Marshall Racing has announced the team's plans for the remainder of the 2025 racing season after the team's primary driver, Tyler Courtney, sustained injuries in a crash at Eldora Speedway last Thursday. 

According to an update from CMR on Monday afternoon, Courtney underwent successful back surgery. Although the injury will take time to heal, Courtney is expected to make a full recovery and return behind the wheel of the No. 7BC when he is medically cleared to do so.

The team, which competes as a full-time team with Kubota High Limit Racing, will have Cole Duncan behind the wheel of the No. 7BC for Tuesday night's Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway. 

Duncan is a nine-time All Star Circuit of Champions winner during his career. The Ohio native will be making just his third career start with Kubota High Limit Racing. 

Following the event at Lernerville, Giovanni Scelzi will take over driving duties of the No. 7BC for the remainder of the 2025 season. 

Scelzi parted ways with KCP Racing last Thursday after being with the team since 2020 and competing full-time with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series since 2023. The California native is a 10-time winner with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. He also collected his first career High Limit Racing victory in 2023 at Lakeside Speedway. 

Clauson-Marshall Racing is one of four Kubota High Limit Racing teams that holds a charter. The team currently sits second in the owner standings, just 12 points behind the Kasey Kahne Racing No. 49 driving by Brad Sweet.
