Sprint Car driver Tyler Courtney is expected to make a full recovery following a vicious crash during Thursday's Kubota High Limit Racing Joker's Jackpot at Eldora Speedway.

Courtney, who currently sits second in the High Limit point standings, was involved in a multi-car accident in turn one during the opening lap of the 40-lap feature.

According to Kubota High Limit Racing officials, Courtney was communicating with safety crews following the crash. He was extracted from his No. 7BC Sprint Car and transported for evaluation

It was reported later in the evening on Thursday that Courtney was alert and able to move his extremities.

On Friday, Courtney's fiancé Aysia provided an update that "Sunshine" was out of surgery and in post-op recovery. The social media post also indicated that he is expected to make a full recovery over the next few months.

At this time, future plans for the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7BC Sprint Car have not been announced. The team is one of four Kubota High Limit Racing teams that currently holds a charter.
