Gio Scelzi And KCP Racing Part Ways During Big Week At Eldora Speedway
Giovanni Scelzi and KCP Racing have parted ways abruptly during the middle of Kings Royal week at Eldora Speedway.

World of Outlaws driver Gio Scelzi and KCP Racing have parted ways, effective immediately, following the opening night of Kings Royal Week at Eldora Speedway. The news was announced by Scelzi and the team on Thursday morning, one day after a big crash during the Kubota High Limit Racing Double Down Duels at Eldora.

Scelzi is currently sitting seventh in World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series point standings, with one win, seven top fives and 27 top-10 finishes. Scelzi joined KCP Racing in 2020 and went full-time with the Outlaws in 2023, earning Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year honors that season. In 2024, he earned three Outlaws wins and a Kubota High Limit Racing victory.
So far this season, Scelzi and KCP Racing had one victory to their credit.
