The 18th running of the Rio Grande Waste Systems Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at New Mexico's Vado Speedway Park completed the fifth round of the six-race miniseries on Saturday.

Bobby Pierce reeled off his fourth win in a row by leading the final 39 of 40 laps in the event's penultimate round, a 1.369-second victory over fellow Illinois native Brandon Sheppard. 

Pierce's miniseries victory is the 11th of his career and guarantees him at least a $25,000 bonus courtesy of Penske Racing Shocks. Should Pierce win Sunday's finale, he'll bank an additional $75,000 in bonus earnings to complete the $100,000 Penske Racing Shocks Jackpot. Sheppard led the opening lap while Stormy Scott rounded out the podium.

Kyle Larson charged from the 16th-starting spot to finish fourth. Eleven drivers finished on the lead lap.
