The 18th running of the Rio Grande Waste Systems Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at New Mexico's Vado Speedway Park completed the third round of the six-race miniseries on Wednesday.

Bobby Pierce led 29 of the 30 laps and kept hometown racer Garrett Alberson behind him for his second miniseries win a row, adding to Sunday's come-from-behind win. The Oakwood, Ill., native again earned $11,000 for his efforts.

Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, Ill., nipped Pierce at the line to lead the second lap and challenged the eventual race winner for most of the early stages. Polesitter Drake Troutman finished ninth and lost the lead exiting the opening corner when Pierce pounced from the outside. Tyler Erb started 17th and finished eighth.

Kyle Larson exited the race on lap 10 with an apparent right-rear shock failure. Seventeen cars finished on the lap.
