Claremont, North Carolina - Fresh off a breakout 2023 campaign, Claremont NC native, Landon Huffman, is set to drive a Jimmy Mooring Racing entry for the entirety of the 2024 CARS Tour late model stock season.

The 27 year old has propelled onto the CARS Tour scene as of late, finding victory lane in the $30,000 to-win Old North State Nationals back in August, and winning on six (6) other occasions outside of the CARS Tour in 2023.

Huffman will be making the move from Nelson Motorsports and the #22 entry, over to Jimmy Mooring Racing alongside teammate Jared Fryar (#14 CARS Tour entry). Fryar will drive on a part-time basis along with the VA Triple Crown, while Huffman will chase the CARS Tour championship with the possibility of additional events.

JM Racing (Jimmy Mooring Racing) led by owner, Jimmy Mooring, is no stranger to CARS Tour success, winning once in 2023 with Fryar, along with capturing the 2020 CARS Tour Late Model Stock championship. Huffman’s JM Racing entry will be maintained and crewed out of the Huffman Racing shop in Claremont, NC.

Five (5) time NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series champion, Robert Huffman, will serve as crew-chief. JM Racing has a long-standing relationship with chassis manufacturer, R&S Racecars, and will continue to work alongside R&S owner, Marcus Richmond in 2024.

“What an incredible opportunity I am walking into with Jimmy Mooring and Jimmy Mooring Racing," Huffman said. "This partnership will allow both myself and my Huffman Racing team to be involved every weekend, and I can’t wait to put Jimmy & his partners in victory lane in 2024. While our long-term goal is the championship, our short-term goal is to show up each week as a strong contender to win. Time to go to work.”

Car number and sponsors will be announced in the coming weeks.
