The big events aren’t done just yet for the CARS Tour. With a successful second trip to North Wilkesboro Speedway now in the rear-view mirror, the CARS Tour now turns its attention to its biggest race of the year, the Old North State Nationals at the Tri-County Motor Speedway, with a massive $30,000 check on the line.

A new era for the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour will see the series’ most prestigious event, the Old North State Nationals head to its fourth different venue.

The penalty levied to Burt Myers by the SMART Modified Tour following the October 15, 2022 race at North Carolina’s Tri-County Motor Speedway has been overturned by the SMART Appeals Panel. Myers will be on a six-race probation to start off the 2023 racing season.

The SMART Modified Tour has run nine races across three states with five different winners on its path towards this weekend, the final weekend of the “regular season.” Matt Hirschman, Caleb Heady, Brian Loftin, Jonathan Brown, and Joey Coulter have all taken home a “Smarty” trophy this season, but this weekend’s race at North Carolina’s Tri-County Motor Speedway might be the most influential race of the season.
