Connor Hall barely beat Brent Crews and Carson Kvapil to the checkered flag in a three-wide photo finish that will be talked about for years to come.

Three-wide. Seven one-thousandths of a second. That’s how Connor Hall scored his first CARS Tour win of 2024 as he barely edged Brent Crews and defending champion Carson Kvapil at the checkered flag. It was a finish so thrilling that many in the NASCAR world and beyond were talking about it too.

This weekend, the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car series will execute a quick turnaround from last week’s expanded-purse thriller at Tri-County Speedway, traveling eastward for a 125-lap show at Larry King Law’s Langley (Va,) Speedway. The flat .400-mile oval makes for outstanding racing, and several of the drivers and teams battling for the overall zMAX CARS Tour LMSC championship are among the best statistically on its layout. They include Brenden Queen, last week’s winner at Tri-County, perennial challenger and current points leader Connor Hall—a Langley native–and two-time and defending LMSC champion Carson Kvapil. All have outstanding records there. The fast, flat track in Langley is sure to provide plenty of thrills this weekend.

CARS Tour officials announced Wednesday morning that the rained-out doubleheader at North Wilkesboro Speedway will now be run on Saturday, August 3 as a one-day show at the legendary North Carolina short track.

The zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model divisions will shake off the weather blues from the rainout last week at North Wilkesboro Speedway with a trip to Tri-County Speedway on Saturday, May 25. The combined Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model fields will be chasing expanded winner’s purses in the first of the five enhanced-payout races this season. The second Tri-County race on Oct. 12 will also have the expanded purse, as will the to-be-rescheduled LMSC and Pro Late Model events at North Wilkesboro later this season and the Throwback 276 at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway. Four former LMSC winners at Tri-County—Bobby McCarty, Mini Tyrell, Conner Jones and Landon Huffman–will be looking for another Tri-County triumph, while Caden Kvapil seeks to add a fourth win to his total in the Pro LM division. Current LMSC points leader Connor Hall will attempt to add to his margin, while co-Pro Late Model leaders Kaden Honeycutt and Spencer Davis will renew their battle for the top spot.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch got into a fight following the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday after the two had a run-in on the race's second lap.

Despite a valiant effort by track and series officials, Wednesday's CARS Tour event at North Wilkesboro Speedway has been postponed due to weather. A date has not yet been announced for the postponed event, but it is expected to be held later this summer.

Following two separate rain showers at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Wednesday evening, CARS Tour qualifying sessions have been canceled and starting lineups have been set by owner's points.

After a postponement, the CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro Speedway will feature a jam-packed Wednesday, May 15 schedule in which both the Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model races will run back-to-back.

The Late Model Stock Car race for the CARS Tour North Wilkesboro will be at 8:30 p.m. EST on May 15 and Connor Hall will look to keep his lead in the current LMSC CARS Tour standings.

The CARS Tour will do double duty on Wednesday, May 15 when both Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock Car races will get underway at the North Wilkesboro Speedway. Racing, all part of the NASCAR All-Star week, was scheduled to begin on May 14, but Tuesday races were postponed to Wednesday.

North Wilkesboro Speedway hosts the CARS Tour and the NASCAR All-Stars again in 2024 after the track made it's triumphant return to the NASCAR circuit in 2023. After years of being dormant, the legendary track was revived and once again became a landmark stop on the racing calendar.

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C.– Track and series officials were forced to postpone the zMAX CARS Tour Series racing scheduled for Tuesday at North Wilkesboro Speedway due to heavy precipitation in the Western North Carolina region throughout the morning and an unfavorable forecast for the remainder of the day.
