FloRacing's Dirt Power Rankings (October 6)

FloRacing's dirt power rankings rank the top 10 dirt racers in the country as of October 6, 2022.

1) Jonathan Davenport (Last Ranking: 1st) 

The big wins keep on coming for "Superman" in 2022. Davenport continued his stellar season during the month of September with three victories and no finish worse than eighth. He added to his Eldora Speedway success by claiming his fifth World 100 win in the last seven years. From there,  he made his way to the "Sprint Car Capital of the World" and claimed his first career Late Model Nationals win at Knoxville Raceway. With a lot of big-money still on the schedule, Davenport has the chance to eclipse $2 million in winnings this season.

2) Matt Sheppard (Last Ranking: 2nd)

With "big money season" for Big-Block Modifieds underway in the Northeast, there's no driver hotter than Matt Sheppard. In September, "Super Matt" claimed the richest win of his career, the $53,000-to-win Fonda 200 at Fonda Speedway. He followed that up with a win in the $20,000-to-win Outlaw 200 at Fulton Speedway. Other wins over the past month include a Super DIRTcar Series win at Albany-Saratoga Speedway and a win in the Modern Day Outlaw 50 at Utica-Rome Speedway. Sheppard also secured the 2022 Modified championship at Utica-Rome Speedway and finished second in the Short Track Super Series Elite race at the track.

3) Buddy Kofoid (Last Ranking: 4th) 

Kofoid continues to be a dominant force in USAC Midget competition as he closes in on his second consecutive national championship. With wins at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex and Gas City I-69 Speedway, Kofoid hit double digits with 10 wins on the season. Additionally, he's getting better behind the wheel of a winged sprint car. Kofoid claimed back-to-back fourth-place finishes with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway.

4) Anthony Macri (Last Ranking: Not Ranked) 

After a quiet August, Macri regained his form during the month of September with one of the biggest wins of his career at Port Royal Speedway. Macri drove from his 19th starting spot to the front to claim the $60,000 winner's check against a stout field of sprint cars at the Tuscarora 50. He also claimed a Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions preliminary win at Port Royal and a Central PA Sprint Car Series victory at Selinsgrove Speedway at the end of the month.

5) Kyle Cummins (Last Ranking: 10th)

After cracking the top 10 in last month's rankings, Cummins climbed into the top five this time around after claiming a pair of USAC National Sprint Car victories last weekend. Cummins backed up his Sprint Car Smackdown win with another victory at Kokomo Speedway before heading to Lawreneceburg Speedway and winning the $10,000 USAC Fall Nationals.

6) Bobby Pierce (Last Ranking: Not Ranked)

"The Smooth Operator" began to make some noise during the month of September with five wins. Pierce kicked off the month by winning the Super Nationals for the MARS Racing Series at Fairbury Speedway. From there, he returned to Eldora Speedway victory lane with a World 100 preliminary night victory. He returned to Fairbury victory lane during the middle of the month with a $22,022 Castrol FloRacing Night in America win. Pierce claimed another preliminary win with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series during the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals at Knoxville Raceway before earning his second straight Castrol FloRacing Night in America victory at Atomic Speedway.

7) Brent Marks (Last Ranking: Not Ranked) 

Marks jumps back into the top 10 in this month's rankings following a trio of wins, including two with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions. Marks collected his first win of the month with the All Stars at Sharon Speedway before collecting a Central PA Sprint Car Series win at BAPS Motor Speedway He ended the month by locking down a $20,000 in the annual Dirt Classic for the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions at Lincoln Speedway.

8) Kyle Larson (Last Ranking: Not Ranked) 

As Larson focuses on winning his second straight NASCAR Cup Series championship, he continues to win races on dirt when his schedule allows. Larson recently returned to the track he co-promotes, Silver Dollar Speedway, and picked up a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series preliminary night win during the Gold Cup. A few weeks later, he returned to dirt late model racing and led all 100 laps of the Hillbilly Hundred for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Tyler County Speedway.

9) Logan Seavey (Last Ranking: Not Ranked)

After scoring two straight wins during the month of September, Seavey sits tied with Kody Swanson at the top of the USAC Silver Crown points standings. Seavey began the month with a win at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds and ended the month by winning the USAC Silver Crown portion of the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway. With two races left this season, one on dirt and one on pavement, the battle for the championship will be red hot.

10) Tim McCreadie (Last Ranking: Not Ranked)

As he inches closer to a second straight Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship, McCreadie continues to visit victory lane. "T-Mac" enjoyed a strong ending to the month of September with a $40,000 XR Super Series win at Kokomo Speedway, followed by his third career win in the Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway.
