Sammy Smith has started off his ARCA Menards Series East championship defense the best way possible, by winning each of the first two races in 2022. Smith drove to the victory at Central Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway last month, and backed up that win with a victory on Saturday night in the Florida Panhandle at Pensacola’s Five Flags Speedway.

After five consecutive years of racing at Five Flags Speedway in the early to mid 1990s, the ARCA Menards Series did not race at the paved half-mile oval for 13 years.

After kicking off the ARCA Menards Series East season last month at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway, East Series competitors will head back to the Sunshine State for Round 2 this Saturday night at Five Flags Speedway.

(Pensacola, FL) Racing returns to Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL March 18th-19th for a two-day season opener featuring ARCA Menards Series East.  The two-day show will host Outlaws, Sportsman, and Pure Stocks on Friday, March 18th and ARCA Menards Series East accompanied by the Vore’s Compact Touring Series on Saturday, March 19th.
