Last November at Arizona Speedway, Reinbold-Underwood Motorsports found itself two laps away from winning its first ever USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget feature only to have the rug pulled out from underneath them on the final green-white-checkered restart.

At a track he described as his personal kryptonite following his first visit a year ago, Buddy Kofoid played the part of Superman to a T Saturday night at Port City Raceway, charging his way from his 16th starting position to win the 50-lap opener of the Werco Manufacturing T-Town Midget Showdown presented by the Rayce Rudeen Foundation.

Ethan Mitchell turned the quickest lap in Thursday night’s USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget practice session in preparation for two full nights of racing this Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Okla.

The 2021 USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget season is young, just two races old, but an interesting array of storylines have emerged at the forefront for this Friday and Saturday’s two-night Werco Manufacturing T-Town Showdown presented by the Rayce Rudeen Foundation, which arrives at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 9-10, with an open practice set for Thursday, April 8.

Fresh off his third career championship in 2020 and fresh off his most recent USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature win last Saturday at Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway, Brady Bacon is at the peak of his game behind the wheel.

Port City Raceway has a nice, warm, welcoming feel to it for the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets for a multitude of reasons, many of which will be ever present when the series returns for the 2nd running of the Werco Manufacturing T-Town Midget Showdown presented by the Rayce Rudeen Foundation on April 9-10.
