Pole-starting Ricky Thornton Jr. overtook early leader and fellow front-row starter Mason Zeigler on the 11th lap Friday at 300 Raceway and went on to his series-leading fourth Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory of the season. Thornton took the checkers 3.514 seconds ahead of two-time and reigning tour champ Tim McCreadie.

Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 the elite drivers of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series return to 300 Raceway in Farley, Iowa and 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.
