A new racing season will begin in Chico, California this weekend with the season-opening Silver Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway. The annual event will feature two nights of 360 Sprint Car racing on February 28 and March 1.

With the second installment of the Kubota High Limit Racing national season right around the corner, it's time to take a look at the talented and deep roster of drivers expected to campaign on the tour this year.

There was no doubt that Tommy Hickman’s funeral would have a significant connection to auto racing. After all, the longtime Soddy Daisy, Tenn., resident who died in January at the age of 76 learned about racing from his father, prepared and fielded family-owned cars for some of Dirt Late Model racing’s best Southeastern drivers in the 1970s and '80s and then spent more than 25 seasons racing with his son Brian.

Towards the end of the 2024 season, Modified veteran Jimmy Blewett was competing full-time on the SMART Modified Tour when he began to have abdominal pain. The discomfort increased and before the season finale at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina, the Howell, New Jersey driver went to the doctors. It was determined that he had an intestinal infection known as diverticulitis. The degree in which the condition had progressed required surgery.

The World Series of Pro Mod 2025 at Bradenton Motorsports Park is back on FloRacing this week with more than 80 cars entered in the headlining Pro Mod class as drivers fight for the $150,000 top prize.

The inaugural Drag Illustrated Winter Series presented by J&A Service will reach its dramatic finale this weekend when the series crowns its first-ever champion at the Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod, Feb. 27-March 1, at Bradenton Motorsports Park. More than 80 Pro Mod drivers from across North America and beyond will compete for the $150,000-to-win event title, while a select few racers are in contention for the $25,000 championship bonus after the first two races of the series.

Spencer Hyde entered the 2023 Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod as a relative unknown on the national Pro Modified scene. He had success in his native Canada, but his 2023 victory over Kurt Steding in the $100,000 final round put him on an international pedestal. He’s since continued to prove his driving prowess by picking up a PDRA Pro Boost win in one of the class’s toughest fields, and he’s climbed the ranks by competing in NHRA Top Fuel with the license he earned just days before his WSOPM win.

For the second and third years, respectively, the Pro 10.5 Challenge and the Mountain Motor Pro Stock Invitational will join Pro Modified in the World Series of Pro Mod lineup at Bradenton Motorsports Park. Like Pro Mod, both supporting classes are expecting their largest fields yet, with both competing for $25,000 winner-take-all paydays. Here’s a look at the drivers who will be taking part in these two highly anticipated shootouts. Note: These entry lists reflect the list of drivers who’ve completed the online registration form. Additional racers are expected to join before qualifying begins on Thursday.
