Last week at Screven Motor Complex in Sylvania, GA, Fastrak Founder Stan Lester stood at the back of the technical hauler and thanked the drivers for a great season. He also gave them credit for making a new format a success.

“The teams were right on this one,” Lester said later in the week. “They suggested, we listened, and as of now they were 100% correct.

Their suggestion was that Fastrak should run hot laps and qualification in groups to minimize the variance of speed for drivers who hit the track early versus those who go out late.

The Georgia State Outlaws Championships were among the most competitive all season with battles for position during the heats and A-Main.

"In what was a fantastic weekend of racing the new format worked great" said DJ Irvine General Manger of Fastrak. "It’s good to see things like this work out and for the better of everyone involved. Great comments all weekend from fans, teams and the staff. We all sat down and discussed it on Saturday in our debrief and as of now, that will be the new format for all FASTRAK tours."

The format consists of two groups for preliminaries, which will then seed the heat based on qualification times. The heats and B-Mains will continue to set the lineup for the A-Main.
