The battle for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship heads to Oswego Speedway on Saturday night, with just three races remaining in the 2026 season.

Patrick Emerling enters the Toyota Mod Classic 150 as the championship leader, holding a 10-point advantage over defending series champion Austin Beers. Both are expected to be among the contenders at Oswego, the historic track known as “The Steel Palace.”

They will have plenty of competition. Teddy Hodgdon enters the weekend with momentum after stunning the Modified Tour field with a victory in the series’ return to Stafford Speedway last weekend. Matt Hirschman, who finished behind Hodgdon at Stafford, is a previous winner at Oswego and will be another driver to watch Saturday night.

Jon McKennedy and Stephen Kopcik also remain in the championship hunt but will be looking to gain ground on Emerling and Beers with time running out in the title race. Tyler Rypkema, driving the famed Ole Blue No. 3, is scheduled to make his 100th career Modified Tour start at Oswego.

Mike Christopher Jr., Tommy Catalano, Eric Goodale, Andrew Molleur and Trevor Catalano are among the additional drivers entered for the Toyota Mod Classic 150.
