We’re back with our fourth edition of the 2026 Sprint Car power rankings — and there's a new No. 1.
While Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing remained idle for the second week in a row, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series contested a doubleheader at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park in Pevely, Mo., swept by Buddy Kofoid.
Justin Peck (Williams Grove on Friday), AJ Flick (Selinsgrove on Friday), Ryan Smith (Port Royal on Saturday) and Chase Dietz (BAPS) scored victories during a busy four-race weekend in Central Pennsylvania. Danny Sams III (Friday at Ohio Valley), Cap Henry (Saturday at Attica on the All Star Circuit of Champions) and Cole Duncan (Saturday at Attica) all notched victories in the Ohio Valley region.
Peck headlines this week’s movers, jumping five spots to No. 20 after his Williams Grove victory. On the other end, Rico Abreu slides five positions to No. 14 following a tough weekend that saw him miss the show twice at Pevely.
As always, these rankings weigh a driver’s recent races heavily, balancing latest performances, wins, consistency and context. Circumstances matter — whether it’s a freak incident, accident or mechanical misfortune — as those details are important to know in a sport separated by razor-thin margins.
There’s also a balance of production and participation. Corey Day, for instance, is top-five material in pound-for-pound metrics, but a three-race sample size keeps him behind full-timers who’ve consistently delivered so far this season. Same applies for Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet.
