The ASA STARS National Tour opened its new season Tuesday night under the lights at New Smyrna Speedway with the Clyde Hart Memorial. A 31-car field of Super Late Models took the green flag for the 200-lap main event, and when it was over, Carson Brown stood alone in Victory Lane after outrunning them all.

Brown took the lead from polesitter Tristan McKee shortly after Lap 30 and never looked back from there despite an array of cautions throughout the race. The win is the second ASA STARS National Tour win for Brown, a Richard Childress Racing development driver .

Dawson Sutton battled up front throughout the race before settling for second, while McKee completed the podium after starting from the pole position. Spencer Davis and NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar completed the top five. 

In the second race of the season, Ryan Preece continued his hot start to the 2026 season by winning the 60-lap Tour-type Modified race. The win comes just six days after his victory in the NASCAR Cup Series Cookout Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. 

In the nightcap, Vito Cancilla survived another rough and tumble Pro Late Model feauture to score his first win of the week.
