Carson Hocevar has officially entered the Sig Sauer Academy Clyde Hart Memorial presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch at New Smyrna Speedway, adding a nationally recognized talent and proven winner to one of the marquee events of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

Hocevar brings an impressive resume that spans both NASCAR’s national ranks and major Super Late Model competition. He is a five-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race winner and has captured victories in some of short track racing’s most prestigious events, including the Winchester 400, the Redbud 400, and the Money in the Bank 150 on three occasions.

In addition to his short track success, Hocevar continued to elevate his profile on the national stage last season with the NASCAR Cup Series, earning second-place finishes at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway. Those results further showcased his versatility and competitiveness against the sport’s top-level competition.

Hocevar’s entry adds significant star power to the Clyde Hart Memorial field and underscores the event’s reputation as a destination for elite drivers from across the racing landscape. With a blend of national touring experience and proven Super Late Model success, Hocevar is expected to be a strong contender when the green flag drops at New Smyrna Speedway.

The Clyde Hart Memorial is one of the premier events at New Smyrna Speedway, contested annually during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. The event honors Clyde Hart, the founding father of New Smyrna Speedway, whose vision and leadership helped establish the facility as a cornerstone of short track racing in Florida. The two-day format begins on Monday, February 9, featuring Practice, Hamke Pole Qualifying, and the Last Chance Race. Also racing on Monday are the Tour Type Modifieds, Pro Late Models and the 602 Modifieds. Tuesday, February 10, will see the 27th running of the prestigious 200-lap Clyde Hart Memorial main event, drawing top Super Late Model teams from across the country to one of the most historic venues in short track racing.
