First Look At Entry Lists For 60th World Series Of Asphalt At New Smyrna
Entry lists for the Tour Modifieds, Florida Modifieds, 602 Modifieds, Super and Pro Late Models for the World Series of Asphalt at New Smyrna Speedway.
The 60th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway is just a couple of weeks away, and now we’ve finally got our chance to feast our eyes on the early entry lists for this year’s nine nights of speed.
So far it’s the Mighty Modifieds from the northeast that are leading the charge for most cars per division. Right now the Tour Modifieds entry list boasts a strong field of more than 30 cars, including some of the biggest names in Modified racing.
Multi-time World Series champion for the Modifieds, Matt Hirschman, headlines the entry list, but he’s not the only champion on the list. In fact, he’s not even the only champion from his street that’s on the entry list. Fellow Mud Lane native, Austin Beers, is headed to Florida as the newest and youngest champion in the history of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Both Northampton, Pennsylvania drivers are joined by Ryan Preece, a champion of the World Series and a champion of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, on the entry list. Preece will only be able to run a couple of nights, however, as his day job as driver of the No. 60 for RFK Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series will take him up to Daytona International Speedway on Wednesday and Thursday night.
Other heavy-hitters on the Modified entry list are Patrick Emerling, Ron Silk, Burt Myers, and Timmy Solomito just to name a few.
The Super Late Model and Pro Late Model entry lists also boast big names like NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver William Sawalich, All-American 400 winner Dawson Sutton, Jade Avedisian, Derek Griffith, and multi-time New Smyrna Speedway track champion Brad May.
The full entry lists for the Tour Modifieds, Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, 602 Modifieds, and Florida Modifieds can be found below. All entry lists are expected to grow between now and the start of the World Series of Asphalt in a couple of weeks.
The 60th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway will begin on Friday, February 6, and conclude on Saturday, February 14. Every night of racing action, including the season opener for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on February 7, and the season opener for the ASA STARS National Tour on February 10, can be seen live on FloRacing.
