Donny Schatz has officially solidified his 2026 plans. It was announced Monday evening that the 10-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion has signed on with CJB Motorsports next season for his 30th consecutive season campaigning on the WoO tour.

The 48-year-old of West Fargo, N.D., joins the Pennsylvania-based operation as a teammate alongside Brenham Crouch after finishing the season with Jason Sides, the Paul Silva-led, Kevin Kozlowski-owned No. W team, Lunstra Motorsports and Big Game Motorsports following Aug. 12's release from Tony Stewart Racing — the end of an ultra-successful 18-year tenure.

Schatz will work alongside crew chief Barry Jackson in his new partnership with CJB that'll begin Feb. 4-7 at Volusia Speedway Park.

“These are exciting times at CJB Motorsports,” team owner Chad Clemens said in a statement. “Donny (Schatz) is one of the best to ever sit in a sprint car, and to have him join the CJB Motorsports family is incredibly special. He is not only a talented and accomplished driver, but he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. We have a lot of work to do, but we’ll be ready for 2026. We’ll see everyone in Florida.”

For Schatz, he has to optimism to "believe this is one of those combinations that can win races right out of the gate.”

“I’ve known Chad (Clemens) a long time, and I’ve known Barry a long time, and I have the utmost respect for them. This is a great opportunity,” Schatz said in a statement. “I’m pretty excited to be aligned with people who share the same values I do. When you surround yourself with people like that, you are going to have success.

“I’m truly grateful for this opportunity. Chad, Ann Marie, the entire Clemens family, Barry Jackson and everyone else at CJB Motorsports have been working their tails off putting this program together, and we’re excited to get started,” Schatz added. “The World of Outlaws is where I cut my teeth — it’s where I belong. I’m as confident as I have ever been heading into 2026, and I know we’ll have the tools, knowledge, and experience to be successful.”

Though Schatz endured a winless season for the first time since 1997, he ended the year on a high note with a third-place finish Nov. 7 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte's World Finals. Next year would be a milestone season for Schatz, of course, marking three full decades as a full-time World of Outlaw.

“That really hit me at the World of Outlaws banquet in Charlotte,” said Schatz. “When you think about an accomplishment like that, you think, ‘Well, maybe this is the end,’ but it’s not. It’s a new beginning for me, and I’m super excited. It’s an honor to work with Chad and Barry.”
