With the top Super Late Model competitors flocking to Pensacola, Fla. for four days of action, the risk could be worth the reward for the top performer.
The coveted Tom Dawson trophy is once again up for grabs and Kaden Honeycutt is looking to repeat a 2024 victory. The crown jewel of the season features the 300-lap grand finale on Dec. 7 and at the finish line, a prize like no other for the victor.

When a race weekend is set in Florida, weather always seems to find a way to sneak its way into the action!
Due to inclement rain on Friday, Dec. 5, all of the 58th annual Snowball Derby Modifieds of Mayhem on-track action has been moved to Monday, Dec. 8. Time have not been given for these changes, but will be published as soon as the information becomes available.
How Much Is The 2025 Snowball Derby Purse?
The end prize for the victor of the 2025 Snowball Derby is one that all Super Late Model drivers hope for at some point in their careers. Not only will the winning driver secure the Tom Dawson trophy, but the purse payout is one that can change lives.
$50,000 will be up for grabs for the winner of the Snowball Derby. In the biggest short-track pavement racing event, the prize has never looked brighter.
What Is The Snowball Derby?
The Snowball Derby is a 300-lap Super Late Model race, but more importantly, it’s the biggest short track race contested on pavement each year. This year, a $50,000 prize and the coveted Tom Dawson trophy will once again be up for grabs.
The Super Late Model race is also the culmination of four days of racing at Five Flags Speedway. The event also includes the biggest Pro Late Model race of the year, the Snowflake 125, on Saturday night, which will also be broadcast live on FloRacing.
Where Is The Snowball Derby Held?
The Snowball Derby is held each year at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Five Flags Speedway is a fast, but extremely abrasive half-mile oval. In addition to being the home of the Snowball Derby, Five Flags Speedway is also home to the Blizzard Series for Super Late Models, the Allen Turner Pro Late Models, and the “Sunshine State 200” for the ASA STARS National Tour.
