Kyle Busch Returning To Snowball Derby At Five Flags Speedway
NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Busch has announced that he will return to the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway this December.

Pensacola is about to get “Rowdy” again this December. Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has announced he will return to Five Flags Speedway to compete in the 58th annual Snowball Derby, scheduled for Dec. 4–7 live on FloRacing.
Busch, who won his first Tom Dawson Trophy in 2009 and followed it up by winning the 50th Annual Snowball Derby in 2017, will be seeking his third triumph in the Super Late Model crown jewel event.
For this year’s race, Busch will drive the No. 51 Lucas Oil–sponsored entry for Bryson Lopez Racing, marking a collaboration with the Georgia-based team for one of short track racing’s most prestigious events.
“It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Pensacola, but I haven’t forgotten how to get around Five Flags,” Busch said. “The Snowball Derby is one of those bucket-list races you always want to win again and again, and I’m fired up to be back with the No. 51 Lucas Oil team and FloRacing. We’re showing up to take that trophy home.”
Danny Stockman, who led Jesse Love and the Richard Childress Racing No. 2 team to a NASCAR Xfinity Series championship in 2025, will serve as Busch’s crew chief for the race.
Busch last competed in the event in 2020, when he finished seventh. Along with his two Snowball Derby victories, he also recorded a third-place finish in 2012, cementing his reputation as one of the event’s most successful modern-era competitors.
The Snowball Derby, entering its 58th running, remains one of the most sought-after victories in late model racing, drawing elite drivers from all over North America to Five Flags Speedway each December.
For the second straight year, the Snowball Derby will be streamed live on FloRacing. The 58th annual Snowball Derby is available to all FloRacing subscribers with a yearly or monthly subscription. Race fans can subscribe to FloRacing by clicking here.
