2025 Turkey Derby Entry List: Who's Racing At Wall Stadium Speedway?
2025 Turkey Derby Entry List: Who's Racing At Wall Stadium Speedway?
Nearly 30 Modifieds are entered to compete in the 2025 Turkey Derby at New Jersey's Wall Stadium Speedway.

Wall Stadium Speedway’s 52nd Turkey Derby is less than a week away, and that means the Jersey Shore will be lit up with the sounds of nearly 30 600-horsepower Modifieds. Some of the biggest names in Modified racing will do battle for 150 laps around the tight, high-banked corners of Wall Stadium Speedway, and it will all happen live, for the first time, on FloRacing.
Headlining the entry list is local hero (or villain, depending on your tastes), “Showtime” Jimmy Blewett, who is returning to the seat of a race car for the first time since health complications sidelined him a little over a year ago. Dating back to his first in 2006, the Howell, New Jersey native has won Wall Stadium’s biggest race a total of seven times, with his most recent Turkey Derby 150 win coming in 2021. Blewett will be piloting a car out of the Hartwig family’s stable.
At this point you might be asking why Blewett won’t be in the familiar red, white, and blue No. 76 family-owned car that he normally races. Well, that’s because a different Blewett will be behind the wheel of that one. That Blewett is James Blewett, Jimmy’s son. Together, the Blewett family has 13 Turkey Derby victories dating back to 1980 when John Blewett Jr. won his first. John Blewett Jr. won twice, the late John Blewett III won four times, and his brother Jimmy has won it seven times. James Blewett now has the chance to become the fourth Blewett to win a Turkey Derby, as well as being the youngest.
But for the Blewett family to capture another Turkey Derby win they will have to go through “Big Money” Matt Hirschman. The Northampton, Pennsylvania native has dominated the Turkey Derby since 2012. Nobody has won the race as many times as Hirschman throughout the event’s history as Hirschman now has a total of eight Turkey Derby victories. Hirschman has also won Turkey Derby in back-to-back years multiple times. He scored his first two wins in 2012 and 2013. He also went back-to-back in 2022 and 2023. Hirschman also claimed the Turkey Derby “Twin 50s” in 2021, which counted for 2020’s Turkey Derby due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Islip, New York’s Timmy Solomito is returning to Wall Stadium in his family-owned No. 66 machine. Solomito returns to the Turkey Derby as the defending winner of the race. Solomito has not raced much off Long Island this year, but the man known as “The Natural” has always been strong at Wall Stadium throughout his career. In addition to his victory, Solomito has finished in the top five in five of his eight Turkey Derby starts dating back to 2014.
Other big names on the entry list include back-to-back SMART Modified Tour champion Luke Baldwin, former Turkey Derby winner Dave Sapienza, Patrick Emerling, and Trevor Catalano just to name a few.
The entire entry list can be seen below.
Both days of the Turkey Derby will be available live in their entirety to FloRacing subscribers for the first time. Fans can subscribe to FloRacing by clicking here.
