Who Won The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship In 2025?

Devin Moran won the 2025 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship following the Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora Speedway. Moran secured his first championship after title contenders Ricky Thornton Jr. and Johnathan Davenport collided with 39 laps to go at Eldora Speedway in Ohio on Oct. 18.   

Moran entered the last race of the season with a points lead of 8965, 15 points more than Thornton and 115 points more than Davenport. 

This was the third straight season where there the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series crowned a champion at the Dirt Track World Championship. Moran sealed his first career Lucas Oil title in finishing third ahead of 18th-finishing Ricky Thornton Jr. and 14th-finishing Jonathan Davenport.

Bobby Pierce captured his second straight DTWC victory after leading 44 of 100 laps for the $100,000 laurels.

Devin Moran led the 2025 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with eight wins and 9,175 points, narrowly ahead of Thornton and Davenport. Hudson O’Neal and Brandon Sheppard complete the top five, while Garrett Alberson, Brandon Overton, and Daulton Wilson continue to challenge in the national championship chase.

Dirt Track World Championship Returning To West Virginia In 2026

Next season's 46th annual Dirt Track World Championship will return to West Virginia Motor Speedway with the reopened Mineral Wells, W.Va., track hosting the event for the first time since 2010, race promoter Carl Short announced this afternoon.

The announcement came during Saturday’s opening ceremonies for the 45th annual DTWC at Eldora Speedway, which hosted the event from 2023-25.
