Donny Schatz will be able to enjoy racing with one team through the end of the 2025 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season. Veteran touring team Jason Sides Racing announced Friday that its fielding a second entry for the 10-time WoO champ alongside primary driver Chris Windom the remainder of the season.

Sides, a longtime competitor of Schatz's on the WoO tour, becomes the fourth car owner the 48-year-old drives for this season following his Aug. 12 release from Tony Stewart Racing, the end of an ultra-successful 18-year tenure. Schatz has since drove for Big Game Motorsports, Lunstra Motorsports and the Paul Silva-led, Kevin Kozlowski-owned No. W team.

"The Sides Motorsports team in partnership with JVI Group are happy to announce that 10-time World of Outlaws Series champion Donny Schatz will join Sides Motorsports to finish out the 2025 season with approximately 15 races left in the season," the Sides team wrote in a social media post.

"This announcement comes after Donny was able to complete his Midwest swing in the (No.) 15 Lunstra Motorsports and with one race left in the West Coast swing in the Works Limited (No.) W car. This partnership with Jason and Donny comes with excitement to be able to go out and compete at a high level and contend winning races and try to close the 2025 season with strong results.

"We would like to welcome Donny and all his partners to the team for the remainder of the 2025 season."

Schatz's car carries primary sponsorship from JVI Group Inc., the York Springs, Pa., construction company with president Sam Elicker, who helped put together Schatz's two-week stint with Silva on the West Coast that started Sept. 5 at Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park and ends Saturday at California's Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway.

The partnership with Sides takes him through Nov. 5-8's World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, the WoO finale that'd cap his 29th consecutive season on the tour.

Schatz, who's currently sixth in the WoO standings and 680 points behind leader David Gravel, has struggled to string together consistent results since his TSR release, finishing inside the top-10 just three times in nine races, with a best finish of seventh at his home track Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Aug. 23.

Schatz is 166 points behind Sheldon Haudenschild in fifth and 130 points ahead of Bill Balog in seventh. Schatz's teammate Windom is currently ninth in the WoO standings.
