The World 100 will be celebrating its 55th anniversary this week at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, and with a stacked lineup of the nation's best Dirt Late Model drivers and a massive purse on the line, fans and drivers alike are eager to get the competition started.

Five-time winner Jonathan Davenport and reigning World 100 champion Bobby Pierce are among those set to hit the dirt track, with the first round of time trials slated for Thursday, Sept. 4.

The total purse for the weekend amounts to whopping $600,000 and the main event on Saturday, Sept. 6 will send the first-place driver home with $72,000 alone.
