World 100 Notes

  • Eldora Speedway hosts the 55th annual World 100, a three-day DIRTcar Super Late Model special that kicks off with twin 25-lap, $12,000 preliminary features Thursday and Friday; heat races and consolations precede Saturday’s 100-lap finale which boasts an event-record $72,000 top prize.
  • The total weekend purse exceeds $600,000.
  • Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., enters with 11 career Eldora crown jewels, including five World 100 victories (2015, ’17, ’19, ’21-’22). • Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., slipped by Dale McDowell to win last year’s 54th annual World 100, adding to his 2016 globe trophy. Pierce also captured last season's $100,000 Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora.
  • Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., won two $12,000 World 100 prelims last year after capturing 2023’s World 100.
  • Pits open at noon daily, grandstands open at 2 p.m. for Thursday-Friday prelims, then open at noon for Saturday’s finale; hot laps are at 6 p.m. Thursday-Friday, then 6:30 on Saturday.
