The 55th annual World 100 is set to start with preliminary races on Sept. 4-5 and the final 100-lap race on Sept. 6. With the first World 100 in 1971, there have been plenty of drivers competing for those famous trophies on the final day.

With 28 drivers in the final 100-lap race, being in the top-ten is a success of its own. With well-known racers like the late Scott Bloomquist, Jonathan Davenport, Bill Moyer, Dale Mcdowell and Tim McCreadie to name a few, who really holds the record for the most top-ten finishes?

While the list of drivers with top-ton finishes is elaborate and full of success, the answer to the big question is easy. Scott Bloomquist holds the record for the most top-ten finishes at Eldora Speedway during the World 100.

Bloomquist first raced in the World 100 in 1988 where he took home the World 100 championship trophy for a first-place finish. Since then, Bloomquist would continue to race in the World 100. His final race at the World 100 was in 2022.

Noted as one of the greats in dirt track racing, Bloomquist racked up a total of 24 top-ten finishes and 19 top-five finishes. The next closest driver to the records of Bloomquist is Dale McDowell, who has 17 top-ten finishes and 10 top-ten finishes. Bloomquist has won the World 100 four times.
