The biggest, most prestigious event in all of Dirt Late Model racing has arrived — the 55th annual World 100 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, which begins with two nights of preliminary action Thursday and Friday in advance of Saturday's event record $72,000-to-win finale.

Nearly 100 drivers are pre-registered for Dirt Late Model racing's ultimate Crown Jewel at the Tony Stewart half-mile, a star-studded roster that features 21 drivers in the latest DirtonDirt Top 25 poll: No. 1 Bobby Pierce, No. 2 Ricky Thornton Jr., No. 3 Jonathan Davenport, No. 4 Devin Moran, No. 5 Hudson O'Neal, No. 6 Brandon Sheppard, No. 7 Nick Hoffman, No. 8 Garrett Alberson, No. 9 Brandon Overton, No. 11 Mike Marlar, No. 13 Brian Shirley, No. 15 Tyler Erb, No. 16 Chris Madden, No. 17 Jimmy Owens, No. T18 Dennis Erb Jr., No. T18 Josh Rice, No. 20 Max Blair, No. 21 Cory Hedgecock, No. 22 Zack Mitchell, No. 23 Ashton Winger and No. T25 Kyle Bronson.

Daulton Wilson and Gregg Satterlee are the lone two drivers from DirtonDirt's Top 25 poll that haven't stated intentions of running the World 100.

Dale McDowell (17 straight World 100 A-mains), Shane Clanton (2008 World 100 winner), Shannon Babb (17 World 100 A-main starts), Kyle Strickler (five straight World 100 A-mains) are among drivers on the entry list as well. At 70 years young 1989 World 100 podium finisher Gary Stuhler is making his first appearance at Eldora as a competitor since '99.
