
Sixteen drivers are already locked into the 50-lap, $195,000-to-win 64th annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's finale with another 10 drivers locking into Saturday's B-main at Knoxville Raceway.
On Friday's Hard Knox Night at the Knoxville Nationals, four more drivers locked themselves into the Championship A-main: David Gravel (from fourth), Buddy Kofoid (from 19th), Cole Macedo (from eighth) and Daryn Pittman.
Donny Schatz, trying to make his 27th straight Knoxville Nationals A-main, came one spot short in fifth from the 15th-starting spot as he'll start 11th in Saturday's B-main needing to finish fourth or better. Kerry Madsen held the second spot until his throttle spring broke on the accelerator, Madsen told FloRacing.
