Entry List: NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Heads To Thompson Under The Lights
Entry list for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Thompson 150 presented by FloSports at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on August 6, 2025.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in Thompson, Connecticut on Wednesday night for a midweek showdown under the lights. Nearly 30 cars have filed entries to take on the Nutmeg State’s fastest oval.
With more than half of the 2025 season now in the books, Austin Beers finds himself atop the championship standings heading into Wednesday’s race at Thompson. Beers leads defending champion Justin Bonsignore by four points with nine races completed. However, Thompson has not been one of Beers’ best race tracks. He’s finished fourth three times, including his last two starts at Thompson, but more often than not Beers is at the back end of the top 10 or even just outside the top 10.
And unfortunately for Beers, Thompson just so happens to be one of Bonsignore’s strongest race tracks. Bonsignore has visited Thompson’s frontstretch victory lane a total of 14 times in 47 starts on the ⅝-mile high-banked oval. The only race track where Bonsignore’s win total even comes close is Riverhead Raceway where he’s won 12 times. So it’s a fair statement to say that Bonsignore loves when it’s time to take the ferry across the Long Island Sound and head north on I-395 to Thompson.
There’s a bit of a logjam from third through sixth in the championship points standings as Craig Lutz, Luke Baldwin, Patrick Emerling, and Matt Hirschman are all separated by just one point heading into Wednesday’s 150-lap battle. Lutz and Baldwin are tied with 332 points. They both trail Beers by 28 points. Emerling and Hirschman are tied with 331 points, and both trail Beers by 29 points.
Between those four drivers, they have a total of three victories at Thompson. Lutz owns two of those wins, while Patrick Emerling has one victory at Thompson. Surprisingly, Hirschman has yet to visit victory lane at Thompson in 30 starts at the historic Connecticut race track.
The mighty Modifieds of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will take to the race track on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET live on FloRacing. Race fans can watch Wednesday’s race live on FloRacing by clicking here.
