KCP Racing Names New Driver For Remainder Of 2025 Season
After parting ways with Gio Scelzi, KCP Racing has a new driver for the remainder of the 2025 World of Outlaws Sprint Car season.

The KCP Racing No. 18 Sprint Car has a new driver for the remainder of the 2025 season. After Gio Scelzi parted ways with the team at Eldora Speedway last week, Emerson Axsom will take over driving duties for the remaining races on the team's schedule with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Axsom has been running a part-time Winged Sprint Car schedule this season with Klassmeyer Petry Motorsports. He picked up a win at Eldora Speedway during Ohio Speedweek, claiming the Jack Hewitt Challenge with the All Star Circuit of Champions. In World of Outlaws competition, he’s earned two top-five finishes and eight top-10s across 21 starts.
Last season, Axsom picked up wins in both 410 and 360 Sprint Car competition at Knoxville Raceway.
His career résumé includes six USAC National Sprint Car victories, three USAC National Midget wins, one All Star Circuit of Champions triumph, and one IRA Sprint Car victory.
KCP Racing currently sits seventh in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series owner's point standings with one win to their credit. Axsom will make his debut with the team on Wednesday night at BAPS Motor Speedway (PA).
