Following an exciting race in Atlanta, NASCAR drivers are heading to the next event of their jam-packed schedule, The Grant Park 165 at the Chicago Street Circuit, for the second round of the in-season challenge.

Chase Elliott won round one of the challenge at the Quaker State 400 from EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta, edging past Brad Keselowski for the win.

In 2024, the Chicago race was named the Event Of The Year by the Sports Business Journal and saw Alex Bowman capture the checkered flag. 

The field for this weekend's event has not been announced yet, but fans can expect last week's winner Elliott and No. 1 and No. 2 rated drivers in the nation, William Byron and Kyle Larson, to be in attendance. Chase Briscoe, who is currently tenth in the standings, will be throwing the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game on Thursday, July 3.
