Kreitz 69K Alters Schedule After Christopher Bell's Change Of Plans
Christopher Bell's schedule change has altered PA Speedweek plans for the Kreitz Racing No. 69k team.

A dire forecast will keep Christopher Bell away from participating in the 35th annual Pennsylvania Speedweek presented by Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, the Kreitz Racing No. 69k team revealed on social media Monday morning.
"Unfortunately due to the impending weather and his schedule (was set to run Monday and Tuesday), Christopher Bell will not be able to participate in PA Speedweek," the Kreitz team wrote on social media. "We apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to it. Bell was eager in meeting all of you and getting another chance to work side by side with (legendary 91-year-old mechanic Davey Brown).
"Good news, you will be able to catch him behind the 69K at Eldora Speedway July 16-17 with High Limit Racing."

The 30-year-old who has one World of Outlaws victory and three total podiums in eight races for the esteemed Central PA-based team owned by Don Kreitz Jr. was supposed to compete Monday at Lincoln Speedway and Tuesday at Grandview Speedway in a short but anticipated two-race stint in the miniseries.
It would've been Bell's first PA Speedweek races since 2021. While Bell has yet to find victory lane at the 3/8-mile Lincoln Speedway (he has a best finish of fifth in 2021 in four races at the track), he figured to contend for at least a checkered flag, most likely at third-mile Grandview where he won the Speedweek race there in 2019.
The Kreitz team, which also announced they're taking a day off from racing Monday, will now put their primary driver Ryan Smith in the car Tuesday at Grandview. Smith, who splits his time between the No. 69k and BJD Motorsports, is scheduled to contend for the PA Speedweek title with both the Kreitz team and BJD No. 6.
Smith, who finished third in Sunday's opener at BAPS Motor Speedway, actually welcomed the birth of his baby daughter with wife Stephanie at around 3 p.m. Sunday in the hours leading up to the miniseries first-round event.
Smith had been unsure if he'd race every Speedweek event being on a day-by-day basis with the impending birth of his baby girl. Kreitz informed FloRacing on Sunday afternoon that "we are going to run when Ryan can," likely a schedule that now includes five straight races Tuesday at Grandview, Wednesday at Port Royal Speedway, Thursday at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway, Friday at Williams Grove Speedway and Saturday at Port Royal Speedway.
Smith is scheduled to race for the BJD No. 6 team Monday at Lincoln and Sunday's finale at Path Valley Speedway Park.
