The NASCAR Cup Series will make its way back to Atlanta on Saturday, June 28 as the Quaker State 400 race returns to EchoPark Speedway. Sixty-five years ago, Fireball Roberts captured the first ever Cup Series trophy at EchoPark, and now the iconic track will see yet another generation of drivers leave it all on the line.

The Quaker State 400 will serve as the first race in the Cup Series' In-Season Challenge, a tournament-style competition that features a 32-driver bracket over five races beginning on Saturday. The winner of the In-Season Challenge will receive a $1 million prize. 

Last week's Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway determined the seedings and pairings for the bracket, where winner Chase Briscoe solidified himself as a No. 2 seed heading to Atlanta. The best finisher from each pair will advance to the next round in Chicago the following weekend.

When Is The Quaker State 400?

The Quaker State 400 main event is set for Saturday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. ET. 

Where Is The Quaker State 400?

Residing in Hampton, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, the Quaker State 400 will be hosted at EchoPark Speedway. The 1.5 mile track was the first destination for the NASCAR Cup Series all the way back in 1960.
