An impressive field of Dirt Late Model drivers are planning to spend their Saturday night at Tazewell Speedway chasing $21,000 in the Lil' Bill Corum Memorial. In recent days, Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series officials have released the names of drivers who are expected to compete in the signature event on the 2024 series schedule.

Highlighting the list of names expected to compete in the event is National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer and Tennessee native Scott Bloomquist, a multi-time feature winner at Tazewell. Bloomquist last competed at the track during the 2022 season when he finished fourth in the Lil' Bill Corum Memorial.

Bloomquist will not be the only star in attendance on Saturday. Defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Hudson O'Neal, who has dominated headlines in recent weeks after departing the Rocket1 house car, will be behind the wheel of the Kevin Rumley owned No. 71 Longhorn chassis.

Defending Lil' Bill Corum Memorial winner Dale McDowell is also expected to be in action on Saturday as he looks to defend his win from one year ago.

Brandon Overton, who won two out of three Spring Nationals Series starts a season ago, enters the event seeking his third feature win of the 2024 season.

Other drivers expected to be in attendance include "The Newport Nightmare" Jimmy Owens, Chris Ferguson, Garrett Smith, Ricky Weiss and Cory Hedgecock. A full list of driver announcements can be viewed on the Spring Nationals Series X (formerly Twitter) page

Jonathan Davenport ('21), Chris Madden ('22), and Dale McDowell ('23) have emerged victorious in the three previous versions of the Lil' Bill Corum Memorial.

The pit gates will swing open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, with the drivers meeting set for 6:00 p.m. and hot laps to follow at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Fans unable to make it out to Tazewell Speedway will be able to watch the race live on FloRacing. If you're not already a FloRacing subscriber, click here to sign up today.
