SEYMOUR, Tenn. — Cory Hedgecock’s pet project took a major leap Saturday at 411 Motor Speedway.

SENOIA, Ga. — On a night when more than half of the 43 entries elected not to compete because of rough track conditions, Wil Herrington hung in there the longest. The Hawkinsville, Ga., driver was among those entered in Saturday’s $10,053-to-win Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event at Senoia Raceway and when drivers began loading up after time trials due to the overwhelmingly choppy conditions, Herrington was in the minority.

For the second year in a row, the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco kicked off the season at Swainsboro Raceway and for the second straight year, Brandon Overton found victory lane in the opener on Friday at the Swainsboro, Georgia oval.

The 10th edition of the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco is scheduled to kick off in a big way over the March 3-4 weekend in the Peach State. A pair of $10,053 first-place prizes are up for grabs for the series competitors on Friday night at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia and on Saturday evening at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia.

The driver of the year in Super Late Model racing in 2021 is back at it again early in the 2022 campaign, as Brandon Overton racked up a commanding flag-to-flag victory Friday in the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series lid lifter at Swainsboro Raceway.

Following a successful 2021 campaign that saw only one repeat winner in the nine series races that escaped the wrath of Mother Nature, the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series kicks off their 2022 season this upcoming weekend (March 4-5) with a lucrative double-dip in the Peach State. The lid will be lifted to the miniseries slate this Friday night in a visit to Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia, as a $10,053 top prize will be up for grabs during the track’s annual ‘Crank it Up 100’ weekend. A fixture on the sister series - Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals - schedule for many years, the Spring Nationals tour will make their first-ever stop to Swainsboro on Friday after being rained-out back in 2015.

The K&L Rumley Enterprises #6 Super Late Model has rolled off the trailer at Tazewell Speedway, with  Kyle Larson set to make an unannounced appearance on the 1/3-mile high banked oval in Tennessee.

The Sweetwater, Tennessee oval, which has been totally reconfigured and lengthened in recent months, was scheduled to greet the Spring Nationals tour back on March 27 and once again on April 10. Officials have worked out a third date for this race and it will now be contested next Friday, April 16. With the change from a Saturday show, the single-day shootout at I-75 Raceway next Friday will now shell out $5,053 to the winner.
