The wait is over, the preliminary nights have been unveiled for the 38th annual Chili Bowl Nationals.

As of now, the 352 entries are currently split into 74 cars on Monday, 71 cars on Tuesday, 74 cars on Wednesday, 70 cars on Thursday, and 62 cars on Friday.

MONDAY, JANUARY 8

Mr. Monday Night, Cannon McIntosh, will vye for his fourth preliminary win in the last five years, but now he’s back with Keith Kunz Motorsports. Notable drivers he’ll have to face in the opening prelim include Shane Golobic, Chris Windom, Tanner Carrick, Michael Pickens, Chase Briscoe, Jason McDougal, Joe B. Miller, Trey Marcham, Nick Hoffman, TJ Smith, Kyle Jones, Cole Bodine, Jacob Denney, Jerry Coons Jr., and more.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 9

The local hero from Sand Springs, OK, Hank Davis, is back with Matt Seymour Racing to defend his wild Tuesday night win from a year ago. HIs biggest threat would assume to be Buddy Kofoid, another fellow Tuesday winner returning to the seat with Keith Kunz Motorsports. Other stars on Tuesday include David Gravel, Thomas Meseraull, Colby Copeland, Zach Daum, Tanner Holmes, Jake Bubak, Kameron Key, KJ Snow, Jake Neuman, and Chase McDermand, among others.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10

With Rico Abreu racing down under in Australia, Wednesday night is wide open for the first time in a decade. There are four previous prelim night winners scheduled for Wednesday this year including Sammy Swindell, Jonathan Beason, Alex Bright, and Tyler Courtney. They’ll be racing against a large cast of contenders that also include Michael Faccinto, Blake Hahn, Corey Day, Brent Crews, Jade Avedisian, Daison Pursley, Steve Buckwalter, Dillon Welch, Jake Swanson, Kale Drake, and many more.


THURSDAY, JANUARY 11

Back to defend his preliminary win, Tanner Thorson will remain on Thursday night as he continues to chase a second Golden Driller and first driving for his own team. Some notable shifts in prelim nights has brought him competition that includes Spencer Bayston, Emerson Axsom, CJ Leary, Ricky Thornton Jr, Ryan Bernal, Kaylee Bryson, Jesse Love, Ashton Torgerson, Karter Sarff, Gavan Boschele, Landon Crawley, Kyle Spence, Jeffrey Newell, JJ Yeley, Brady Bacon, Brad Mosen, and Tim Buckwalter, plus others.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 12

The defending Chili Bowl Champions are of course keeping it all the same, as Logan Seavey and Swindell SpeedLab bring the Victory Fuel #39 back to Friday night in hopes of a repeat. His biggest challenger as always is Justin Grant with RMS Racing, a five-time Friday winner in the last seven years. They’ll be battling other big names such as Tim McCreadie, Andrew Felker, Clinton Boyles, Ryan Timms, Gavin Miller, Daryn Pittman, Hunter Schuerenberg, Hayden Reinbold, Ethan Mitchell, Ace McCarthy, Steven Snyder Jr., Jace Park, and Tom Harris, among others.
